A bona fide tortured poet (or so they would have us think... *peers around suspiciously*) with good taste in places
to die in (grottily bohemian little French hotel, bathtub) and a hang for singing good songs and being generally kinda trippy
(there's a picture if you're not convinced). My personal favorite by The Doors is The End, but something tells me I'm not
alone. It seems to have become a fairly well practised habit to get hopelessly drunk/stoned and listen to that song on a loop.
Dangerously good way to end up killing yourself if you ask me...

Oh well, so much for that brillant pioneer of post-punk minimalist experiences... All I can say is "Love will tear us appart"
is one of my favorite songs - ever - and that you should watch Michael Winterbottom's (genius filmmaker by the way) "24-hour
Party People".
Speaking of which, I think I'll go have a rest after that orgy of superlatives...

I was in fact very young when the man died. You wouldn't tend to meet a lot of 7 year old grunge fans
back in '94 and supprisingly enough, I wasn't one of them. Smells like teen spirit is not "the" song of my generation - us
poor fucks wouldn't even dream of even having one (unless you include that catchy whistling tune from Kill Bill...). But what
can I say. The man's an icon. On a related note, I'm hoping to see Gus Van Sant's "Last Days" soon. Looks like pure genius
to me.

Nah, just kiddin'... Though I read this article recently about how rock 'n' roll's most notrious deaths (Morrisson, Hendrix,
Jones, Joplin, Cobain, you name 'em) all happened at age 27. It just so happens said ex-Libs man will be turning this fateful
age next year...
